College Counseling at Stuart

Finding the Best Fit

Stuart’s College Counseling program aims not simply to match students with the “best” colleges, but to have each girl find the college that best fits her strengths and aspirations. Our distinguished College Counseling staff, under the direction of Harris B. Siegel, supports each student and provides individual attention from initial school research and a comprehensive fit assessment to college enrollment.

The college search at Stuart begins during the junior year, when students meet with the Director. The student’s standardized test scores are reviewed and the student is advised of the impact of her academic performance on college-admission committees. During the junior and senior years, students participate in a number of events sponsored by the College Counseling department and begin individual meetings with the Director. Comprehensive counseling and guidance is given throughout the admissions process.
