Stuart Country Day School is home to two libraries for students from Pre-School through grade 12. The mission of each library is to serve as an intellectual resource to the Stuart students and faculty. They provide physical access to materials and information both printed and online. Both libraries also provide students and faculty with a number of multimedia resources including digital cameras, camcorders, LCD projectors, SmartBoards, classroom iPods and laptop computers.
The Leonard Etz Library serves Stuart’s youngest students in Pre-School through grade 5. The 6,000-volume collection includes books, videotapes, DVDs, periodicals and other media. In addition, students can access many resources online through the Library’s Web page and online card catalog.
The Raissa Maritain Library serves Middle and Upper School students in grades 6 through 12. The physical collection includes approximately 12,000 volumes, including books, DVDs, CDs and periodicals. Students also have access to a vast electronic library of reference books and other non-fiction titles. The library includes several MAC computers, which provide supervised access to online resources. The Maritain Library also offers students and faculty a wealth of online resources through its Web page, which includes subscriptions to JSTOR and several periodical databases.
