Janet Stuart Scholar Program

The Janet Stuart Scholar Program is open to eighth-grade students applying to enter Stuart's ninth grade in September of the upcoming academic year. The scholarship is named in honor of Janet Erskine Stuart, a much-loved educator and member of the Religious Society of the Sacred Heart.

The Janet Stuart Scholarship covers one-half of the tuition for four years in the Upper School. Scholars will be chosen from the pool of candidates who have completed the application process for the upcoming academic year, as well as Stuart's current eighth-grade students.

Scholars are chosen on the basis of:

• A completed application, submitted by January 24, 2011
• Record of academic work (including completed Upper School teacher recommendation forms)
• Results of the SSAT (last accepted test date January 8, 2011)
• The essay written as part of the SSAT

All candidates must fulfill the requirements of the admission process in order to be considered. No additional application is required, and the selected candidates will be notified in the spring.
