  • Hallowell Reaches 100 Goal Milestone on Senior Day

    Congratulations to senior Lacrosse player, Ani Hallowell, who notched goal number 100 during the first half of Wednesday's Senior Day game against the Solebury School. Hallowell, one of the team's two captains this year, has been a member of the varsity squad all four years, moving from defense to offense after her freshman year.

  • Varsity Lacrosse Scores Senior Day Success

    The Stuart Varsity Lacrosse team scored a decisive victory against the Solebury School, defeating the visiting team 13-3 on the Stuart squad's Senior Day. Sophomore Amy Hallowell led off the scoring just seconds into the contest, setting the stage for her sister, senior Ani Hallowell, who scored the next seven points for the Tartans and secured her place in the Stuart history books by recording the 100th goal of her career.

  • Middle School Tartans Lax Team Scores Victory

    The Middle School Tartans Lacrosse team took to the road and came home with a well deserved victory! The team defeated Newtown Friends by a score of 15-11 in late season action earlier this week. A solid combination of a strong midfield performance and well placed shots by the attack, the entire team once again came on strong in the second half making this, along with almost all the games they played this season, close and competitive to the very end. A great group of athletes all around, the team should be proud of its efforts all season long. Well done!

    Traveling to Ranney with several team members absent, the Upper School Track Team recorded an impressive overall score, defeating both Ranney and track newcomer, Academy Charter in double dual meet action last Wednesday. Congratulations to the entire team on a job well done!

    The Middle School Track Team is a force to be reckoned with, consistently producing impressive results. Most recently the team competed in a meet held at Kreps Middle School, giving it their all once again. The meet featured some great competition and although the team didn’t take home the overall win, they worked hard and did come home with many season bests!   • Nora Murray '15 to Play in NJ Prep Golf Tournament

    Congratulations to Freshman golfer Nora Murray, who will be representing Stuart on the links in New Jersey Prep Tournament play this May. The Tournament held at The Peddie School this year, will feature the area's top prep golfers. Murray has been working hard to hone her skills, playing locally in the junior program at Cherry Valley County Club for the past three years, before joining the Stuart Golf team this spring. Coach Donna Cortina has been pleased by her progress and is looking forward to watching Murray take on the competition at Peddie on May 16.

  • NJ Prep B Lacrosse Tournament Opens Monday, April 30

    New Jersey Prep B Tournament action gets underway for the Varsity Lacrosse team starting this Monday, April 30th when the team travels to New Brunswick to take on #4 seed Rutgers Prep. Game time is 4:00pm. Good luck to Coach Caitlin Grant and her dedicated Lacrosse players, seeded #5 for this tournament, as they begin their quest for the 2012 Prep B title. All the way Green!

  • Stuart Runners Compete at Annual Penn Relays

    April 27, 2012

    In what is considered to be the Super Bowl of Track and Field, Stuart was well represented by Amethyst Carey, Elisa Mercando, Lacey-Ann Wisdom and Paul-Anne Robb who turned in the school's fastest time ever, 4:35.48, in the 4X400 Relay at Thursday's 118th running of the Penn Relays. The 4X100 Relay team, joined by Lexus Rodriguez in place of Elisa Mercando, also turned in an impressive performance and would have placed in the top two-thirds of the participating teams if not for a disqualifying lane violation. Congratulations to all the athletes who proudly represented Stuart at this very prestigious event.

  • Varsity Track Team Continues Winning Ways

    The Stuart Varsity Track Team continues to dominate the competiton with another impressive performance at Monday's meet hosted by The Pennington School. Soundly defeating each of the schools who competed, Stuart performed well in each of the events entered. Stuart topped Pennington by an overall score of 84-46, beat Solebury 98-45 and defeated Ranney 98-26.

  • Upper School Track Team Dominates Meet

    Congratulations are in order for the Upper School Track Team who literally ran away with the overall victory at last Wednesday's meet hosted by the Solebury School. Taking first place with an impressive total of 214 points, the following Stuart athletes scored in at least three events each: Amethyst Carey, Annaliza Carey, Abby Heffern, Emily Morgan, Paul-Anne Robb, Lexus Rodriguez, Nikki Starke, Autumn Townsend, Emily Tyndall, Elisa Vera and Lacey-Ann Wisdom. Just as noteworthy, seventeen different girls scored for Stuart, the very definition of a team effort! The entire Track team is to be commended for their continued success across the board. Great job!

  • Stuart Track and Field Makes Strong Showing at Cougar Classic

    On a summer-like day at the 28th Annual Cougar Classic Track Meet a small group of Stuart athletes made an outstanding performance. The 4x100 Relay Team of Amethyst Carey, Lexi Rodriguez, Jenn Dias, and Paul-Anne Robb won their heat and missed the school record by just .02 seconds with a time of 52.45. The same four came back later to set a school record in the 800 Sprint Medley with a time of time 2:05.02. There were also some personal and season best records:

    Annaliza Carey, 400 M: 71.07, 200M: 30.01
    Autumn Townsend, 100 M: 14.05, 200M: 30.01
    Kathleen Carmien, 100 M: 15.07
    Margaux Glovier, 1600 M: 6:58.9

    Sianna Peal, shot put: 27' 9"

    Special congratulations go out to Amethyst Carey who also won the shot put with a distance of 32' 0"!

  • Varsity Lacrosse Wants Your Support!

    The Stuart Varsity Lacrosse team has dropped their last three games against some incredibly tough area teams. What the win-loss column doesn't show is the never give up attitude that the entire team demonstrates each time they take to the field. Senior Ani Hallowell continues to be a leading force on the Stuart attack, notching 33 goals already this season. Come watch her add to this impressive tally as the team takes to the field again next week. After a road game against Hamilton High School West on Wednesday, the team will return home to play Notre Dame High School on the Long Family Turf Field next Friday, April 20 at 4 PM. Come out and support these dedicated athletes and show Notre Dame why they should "Fear the Deer"!

  • Stuart Golf Team In Full Swing!

    While you may not actually see the Stuart golf team hard at work, it doesn't mean that they haven't been busy! Practicing off site at area golf courses every day after school, this team has been out perfecting their skills under the leadership of veteran golfer Donna Cortina who is serving as the team's head coach once again this year. Congratulations to the following golfers who will be representing Stuart on the golf course this year.     The Upper School Track team had an impressive first outing of the season at the recent state meet held at Lawrenceville. The Stuart team distinguished itself performing well against the Prep A teams and leading the Prep B teams in attendance. Congratulations to the entire team for a great start to the season!
